BOOKING POLICY

Reservations more than a month before the booking date require a 50% deposit. Your event/stay is not reserved without the deposit.

CHECK-IN POLICY

Guests may arrive at 3pm the day of booking. The respective Fort/HQ will either be unlocked or a lockbox will be provided and the code will have been emailed ahead of your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

RELEASE FORM & HUNTING POLICY

All hunters and guests must sign the release form provided by the Stasney Ranch. Please download the form and email a signed copy to info@stasney.com upon arrival. All game laws and limits are strictly obeyed, hunters must possess a valid Texas hunting license, and no hunting will take place before the form has been signed. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all hunts and a release form must be signed before start of hunt. No hunt is booked until the deposit has been deposited. Visits to the ranch are by appointment only. If you need more information about booking a hunt, please contact our wildlife manager, Bill Hill, at (325) 338-5168.

FORT CHARGES AND DAMAGE

Damage to furniture and property will be assessed and then billed to the customer. We will be straightforward about any damage to our facilities.

PET POLICY

Outdoor dog kennels are on the ranch and can be used on request. Fort Griffin is the only fort that allows dogs up to 50 pounds. Animals are to be crated if left unattended.

PROPERTY RULES

1. Never discharge a firearm or other weapon toward a person, vehicle, moving equipment, pipeline, oilfield vessel, wind turbine, electric line, electrical equipment, any man-made structure, cattle or horses. 2. All minors shall be supervised by their parent or legal guardian at all times. 3. No alcohol or drug use while hunting, using a firearm or driving. 4. Smoking and fireworks are prohibited on the premises except in designated areas. All persons will take reasonable precautions to prevent fires, including avoiding lighting fires with the exhaust system of under vehicles. In the event a grass fire is started, Stasney personnel shall be promptly notified. 5. Use of aerial drones is prohibited within ½ mile of wind turbines. 6. All persons shall observe posted warning signs and traffic control signs. In the absence of posted speed limits vehicles shall not travel at speeds greater than 25 miles per hour. All animals have the right of way on ranch roads. 7. All gates shall remain as found whether locked, open or closed. 8. All persons shall avoid contact with livestock. 9. All persons shall wear a life jacket when swimming or boating in lake or tanks. 10. All persons shall keep the premises clean and free of all trash and litter. 11. All persons shall drive on the existing roads and minimize creation of ruts. 12. All game laws shall be observed. No wood, plants, animals (dead or alive), artifact or any other item shall be removed from the premises without the express permission of Stasney’s manager or game manager.

Cook Shack rental includes up to 13 round tables, 4 rectangular tables, and 80 chairs. A refundable clean-deposit of $350.00 is required for Cook Shack Rental.
